The Our Dogs & Cats Pet Transport team is an experienced and reliable network that spans the globe, hand-picked and coordinated by Managing Director Alisha Van Vliet, from on the ground in Victoria, Australia.

We are experts in importing dogs and cats into Australia and New Zealand and exporting them to anywhere in the world. Our network includes expert Veterinarians, Travel and Transport Agents, Groomers, Breeders, Boarders and more. The one thing we all have in common is our love for animals and desire to make their journey as stress-free as possible.

Alisha Van Vliet, Founder & Managing Director

From a young age, the love of animals was always with me, so it was a natural progression to become involved in the dog fraternity, competing with and breeding my chosen breed (and crazy passion) of Dalmatians.

In 2020 I started working in the pet transport industry, which suited my personality to a tee. I was able to bring in my skills developed over the years from university, accountancy practices, hospitality, trades and management positions to provide a well planned and managed service to clients, in order to make their import as smooth and stress free as possible.

I am obsessed with the details, so the logistics and many moving parts of overseas pet relocation could not be a more perfect role for me.

Due to the longer timeframes involved in both family and breed relocations, I’m able to build long standing relationships with my clients, and it’s a joy to spend my days working with fellow animal lovers. It’s easy to connect with and relate to our like minded clients, who are passionate about their own breeds, including breeders and families from all over the world.

It is also a bonus when I’m able to meet in person the animals I have assisted to travel to or from Australia, as well as seeing their successes (for competing dogs and cats), their adventures along the way and the beautiful reunions once they get to their new home and are with their humans.
